1 x Food Teacher

Food and Nutrition Teacher, Hertfordshire

Sherrardswood is an independent, co-educational school for children aged 2 to 18, based in 28 acres of beautiful woodland by the river Mimram.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Food and Nutrition teacher to work in our bespoke Food kitchen from Year 5 upwards.  From our youngest students making their first attempts at baking, through to Year 7 and 8 discovering the healthy plate, on to GCSE and BTec students and finally our A Level students undertaking their pre-university cookery courses, our students are excited to be inspired by your love of Food and Nutrition.

Prep Learning Support Assistant, Hertfordshire

We are looking to appoint an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a happy and well-behaved child, with a range of educational needs. The successful candidate will be able to work flexibly under the direction of the SENCO and class teacher, and at times independently, adapting to the pupil’s learning needs. We are looking for an exceptional individual, ideally with experience of working with children with hearing impairment.

The right person would have the following qualities:

  • enthusiastic and dynamic
  • has experience of working with individual children with SEND
  • has high expectations of achievement and behaviour
  • has good numeracy and literacy skills
  • can confidently communicate with parents
  • can work as part of a team
  • be able to use their own initiative and imagination
  • be passionate about working with SEND children
