Examination Results

NOTICE:
You may have seen the school’s 2012 GCSE and A Level results from the DFE performance tables,  recently published in the press, and noticed that they are different from those that we published following the release of results in August 2012.
We would like to assure you that our figures are correct. Our GCSE candidates gained 100% 5 or more A*-C grades. Our A level candidates gained 100% pass rate.
I would like to point out that the DFE results contain a number of errors that we are unable to amend until October 2013.

The GCSE figures included a number of students from Year 10 who took just one GCSE subject a year early and so show as not having gained 5 GCSEs. In addition some candidates who were not of Year 11 age were also included. Both of these groups of candidates should not have been included in the performance tables.

Our A Level candidates gained 100% pass rate. The lower rate published in the press includes results from a number of private candidates who did not perform as well as our own students and who should not have been included in the school’s performance tables.
