Subjects Offered

A Level teaching is very different to what students have grown accustomed to throughout their school careers. We aim to be as flexible as possible, providing a wide range of subjects for study.

Students can choose any four A Levels, with no options columns imposed. All subjects offered at GCSE are available at A Level, and in addition, Further Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, Politics, Psychology, Sociology, BTEC Health and Social Care, Applied Science, and Music Technology.

Our Sixth Form curriculum provides students with the flexibility to pursue their individual interests and strengths. From 10 or 11 subjects at GCSE, students go on to specialise in 3 or 4 areas of study. Thus, students are afforded greater autonomy to plan and structure their own approach to learning, a critical aspect given the higher demands compared to the GCSE syllabus. We place a strong emphasis on fostering increased responsibility, independent study habits, and self-motivation during these formative years.

ISI Report 2023 - Pupils have a very clear understanding of how the decisions that they make now will influence their own future success and wellbeing. They make positive decisions to join clubs and activities which develop their personality and interests.
