Sherrardswood School isn't just an outstanding place to learn, it's a great place to work too!
Our students are well behaved, enthusiastic and keen to learn. Our staff body is positive, happy and friendly. We pride ourselves on being a community that supports each other in the pursuit of excellence, educationally but also in terms of the school experience for all the students in our care. Relationships between staff, parents and students are supportive and productive.
We are currently seeking to recruit enthusiastic and inspirational English teachers to work with our Senior students. Our students thrive in an exceptionally positive learning environment and enjoy many opportunities to encourage their love of literature, theatre, poetry and media through theatre visits and performances as well as in the course of a fully planned and prepared curriculum. Our class sizes are small meaning that teaching workload is more manageable and the behaviour and enthusiasm of our students make every lesson a pleasure. Prospective candidates must demonstrate an evident passion for their subject.
Sherrardswood is a welcoming, caring and enthusiastic community. Relationships between staff, parents and students are supportive and productive. We would happily consider an NQT, part-time candidate, semi-retired or job share.
