School Housekeeper Supervisor

Sherrardswood School are looking to appoint a full time Housekeeping Supervisor, all year round. This is a new exciting position to provide a comprehensive cleaning service to the whole School.

Job Description

The candidate will: 

  • Be responsible for helping at School events, assisting in the kitchen and working with the children in breakfast or after school clubs.
  • Manage the man-management and cleaning processes and will require excellent people skills and knowledge of cleaning, health and safety and infection control.

Key responsibilities:

  • Induct all new members of the cleaning team and provide in-house training
  • The supervision of the housekeeping team focussing on their performance in terms of standards of cleanliness and their behaviour whilst on duty
  • Ensure the environment is cleaned and maintained to the highest possible standards
  • Reviewing work schedules
  • Ordering cleaning materials and monitoring all cleaning activities
  • Ensuring the housekeeping team are aware of the Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Motivate team members and assist in strategies to boost performance

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm

Salary: £16,000.00 - £18,000.00 per year

Expected Start Date: Monday 4th January 2021
