Learning Support Assistant
We are currently looking for a dynamic, experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Sherrardswood School, in Welwyn.

About The Position
Contract Type: Part Time, Permanent
Working Pattern: 4 days a week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am till 4:00pm
Salary: Up to £16,800 (£21,000 FTE) per annum

Your Main Responsibilities will include:
- Encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own learning, and take pride in their work
- Personalise resources to meet the needs of an individual or a small group
- Give support for increased self-esteem, self-confidence, and emotional skills development by encouraging pupils to build on existing effective relationships to share ideas and opinions with peers and adults
- To work with the L2L Department to ensure that the requirements are kept at the forefront of all planning for individual children
- To assist with the class teacher in the effective delivery of the curriculum, under their guidance
- Supporting pupils with literacy and numeracy in their achievement at GCSE
About You
We are looking for someone who can be a role model to our pupils through personal presentation and professional conduct. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience with children, preferably within an educational context
- Knowledge of various special educational needs
- A genuine enthusiasm for working with children
- A positive attitude
- The ability to be flexible to the needs of the students
