Minibus Driver

MINIBUS DRIVER

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic Minibus Driver to join our school at Sherrardswood School, in Welwyn, Hertfordshire.

The successful candidate will have the relevant licence and 3 years driving experience in order to drive the Mini-Bus in a safe manner and in compliance with highway regulations.

About the Position

This position will require you to drive the Mini-Bus Term-Time, Monday to Friday, 7am-9am and 4pm-6pm. The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include, but not limited to the following:

  • Drive in a safe manner and in compliance with highway regulations
  • Be responsible for the health and safety, comfort and welfare of both pupils and staff
  • Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks, including fire precautions, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy
  • Maintain all vehicles in a clean, hygienic and tidy condition, both inside and outside, at all times
  • Work within health and safety guidelines as set out in the school Mini-bus Drivers’ Operating instructions
  • Part of this role will involve safeguarding responsibilities including the reporting of any safeguarding concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Team
 
About You

It is paramount that you hold a Full and Clean UK Driving Licence with D1 entitlement with at least three years driving experience. Other requirements and personal qualities include:

  • Over 25 (for insurance purposes)
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively on own initiative and within a team
  • Professional personal presentation and attire

 

Job Type: Part-time

Working Hours: 25 hours

Salary: Dependant on experience
