An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and inspirational Nursery Practitioner to join our school in Welwyn, Hertfordshire.

Sherrardswood School

Founded in 1928, Sherrardswood School is a highly regarded and successful independent co-educational day school with approximately 360 pupils aged 2 to 18. Our location and beautiful grounds provide the ideal setting for creating a secure and happy atmosphere, which encourages each child to develop their gifts and unlock their potential.


About the Role

The successful candidate will be able to challenge children through innovative activities and be passionate about their learning. We strive to provide our pupils with a range of opportunities to ensure their success in an ever-changing world. Our pupils are enthusiastic, well behaved and eager to learn and we are looking for a creative and dedicated practitioner to join our supportive and friendly staff team and be part of the wider Sherrardswood community.

You will have responsibility for the teaching, learning and the assessment of pupils within the group, whilst working to fulfil the overall aims of the school by inspiring children to be the best they can be.

Candidates for the position should be willing to contribute to the extensive co-curricular life of this excellent, happy and caring school.


Contract Type: Full-Time, 08:30am - 05:30pm, Temporary to cover maternity

Salary: £18,000.00-£20,000.00 per year
