Festival of Art

The Festival of Arts started successfully with the pop of a cork and pouring of bubbles. Parents and students alike enjoyed the vibrant and colourful work of the Art students from across the school. We saw an eclectic submerged St Pauls, bright photography, skulls and ravens. Feedback was incredibly positive with parents remarking on the intricacies and beauty of some of the paintings. We were also delighted with a selection of work from the Design and Technology department.

The work was beautifully displayed by Mrs Campbell on plinths and showed many of the student’s talents including various forms of creative lighting and furniture. The exhibition would not have looked so beautiful without the help of our resident expert flower arranger, and 'fabric draper', Mrs Morrall. This year’s exhibition was particularly moving for myself as it was my second and final exhibition in Sherrardswood. I have enjoyed working with all the Art students across the school and I wish them all the best for a very successful and bright future.
