Food for Thought

This term some of Year Six are studying Food Technology on Thursday every week in the senior school, making something new every week and learning skills along the way, from salads and fruit crumbles, to cupcakes, biscuits and more. Our pupils have particularly enjoyed making the chocolate feathered biscuits from this week, they were really tasty and fun to make.

They have also learnt how use a stove, make piping bags, bridge cuts, how to prepare fruits and vegetables and even how to wash up after they have finished! Of course, the best thing about Food Technology is the delicious things that our pupils have made, and kindly shared with the staff, from a fruit crumble for Miss Brinkworth and Miss King and a chocolate feathered biscuit for Miss Pitt and Miss Brinkworth. Our pupils have enjoyed doing Food Technology this term, it was fun making lots of different food, and can’t wait to do it next year in Year 7
