Sherrardswood School is proud of its strong record of helping students progress to leading universities and ambitious future pathways.

Every student receives personalised support throughout Sixth Form, including individual UCAS guidance, help with personal statements, careers advice, interview preparation and one-to-one mentoring. Our experienced Sixth Form team works closely with each student to help them identify the pathway that best matches their strengths, interests and ambitions.

Our students progress to an impressive range of leading and highly regarded universities across the UK. The Class of 2026 secured places at King’s College London, University College London (UCL), the University of York, Durham University, the University of Exeter, the University of Nottingham, Loughborough University and Oxford Brookes University.

Across recent years, Sherrardswood students have also progressed to universities including Warwick, Bath, Bristol, Manchester, Liverpool, Southampton, Lancaster and Keele. They have gone on to study a diverse range of subjects including Medicine, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience, Computer Science, Law, Accounting and Finance, English Literature and Business.

While university is the chosen route for many of our students, we recognise that success looks different for every individual. Students choosing degree apprenticeships, employment, gap years, specialist training or other pathways receive the same individual guidance and support in preparing for their next step.
