English Teacher

Applications are invited from inspiring English teachers, to motivate and engage students working towards English GCSE and A Level as well as our younger students.    The successful candidate would ideally be able to deliver Film Studies A Level, or be willing to be trained to do so.

About the Position

Contract Type: Full time

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Salary: Commensurate on experience

Start Date: Sep 2025

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Be able to teach GCSE/A Level and Film Studies
  • Planning and delivering fun and engaging lessons in English and Film Studies
  • Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of pupils.
  • Setting high expectations for pupils' behaviour, establishing and maintaining a good standard of discipline.
  • Ensuring that the current requirements of examination boards are met;
  • Contributing to after school activities.

About You: We are looking for someone with:

  • A relevant degree in English.
  • Qualified Teacher Status [QTS].
  • Ability to teach English and Film Studies to GCSE and A Levels.
  • Evidence of high pupil achievement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A specialism in English, Film Studies, or a relevant field.
  • Experience in teaching.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
