We are looking for an inspiring Humanities Teacher to join our school in Welwyn!

About the Position

Contract Type: Part -Time @ 0.60/0.80 FTE, Permanent

Salary: up to 40k per annum (Full Time Equivalent)

Start Date: September 2025

This role is suitable for an ambitious NQT looking to demonstrate a talent for teaching History and Geography. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering stimulating and engaging lessons
  • Ensuring continuity, progression and cohesiveness in all aspects of teaching
  • Setting homework regularly, in accordance with the school homework policy
  • Setting high expectations for all students in order to deepen knowledge, understanding and to maximise their achievement
  • Assessing the students’ work systematically, using the results to inform future planning, teaching and curricular development

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A relevant degree in History or Geography.
  • Qualified Teacher Status [QTS].
  • Ability to teach GCSE and A Levels.
  • Evidence of high pupil achievement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A specialism in History, or a relevant field.
  • Experience in teaching.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
