About the Position
Contract Type: Part -Time @ 0.60/0.80 FTE, Permanent
Salary: up to 40k per annum (Full Time Equivalent)
Start Date: September 2025
This role is suitable for an ambitious NQT looking to demonstrate a talent for teaching History and Geography. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering stimulating and engaging lessons
- Ensuring continuity, progression and cohesiveness in all aspects of teaching
- Setting homework regularly, in accordance with the school homework policy
- Setting high expectations for all students in order to deepen knowledge, understanding and to maximise their achievement
- Assessing the students’ work systematically, using the results to inform future planning, teaching and curricular development
We are looking for someone who has:
- A relevant degree in History or Geography.
- Qualified Teacher Status [QTS].
- Ability to teach GCSE and A Levels.
- Evidence of high pupil achievement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A specialism in History, or a relevant field.
- Experience in teaching.
- The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
