ISI Report 2026

We are proud to share that Sherrardswood School has met all relevant Independent School Standards, with inspectors recognising the strength of our leadership, the quality of education across the school, and the care and support provided for pupils.

The report highlights our broad and varied curriculum, effective teaching, and the way pupils are encouraged to think independently, develop confidence and make good progress over time.

Inspectors also recognised the strength of our pastoral care, noting that pupils feel safe and are well supported by staff. Positive relationships, mutual respect and a clear focus on wellbeing help pupils to thrive as individuals.

From age 2 through to Sixth Form, pupils benefit from a wide range of opportunities, including clubs, enrichment and additional activities, which support their engagement, confidence and personal development.

The report also reflects the school’s commitment to preparing pupils for the future, with careers guidance from Year 7, tailored support for older pupils, and pathways including GCSEs, BTECs and A Levels.

This report reaffirms our aim: to provide a caring, ambitious and supportive environment where every pupil is known, valued and encouraged to achieve their very best.
