Learning Support Assistant – Full Time

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday, Term Time  

Work Times: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm 

Salary: Based on experience  

Start Date: Immediate Start Available  

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of learning needs, working closely with the SENCo and teaching staff to ensure every child can access the curriculum and achieve success. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to access learning effectively  

  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering lessons and adapting resources to meet individual needs  

  • Encouraging pupils to develop independence, confidence and a positive attitude to learning  

  • Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and helping to build self-esteem and resilience  

  • Working closely with the SENCo to ensure EHCP requirements and individual learning plans are effectively implemented  

  • Supporting positive behaviour and fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment  

  • Contributing to the wider school community and supporting pupils throughout the school day  

About You 

We are looking for someone who is caring, reliable and committed to supporting young people in their learning journey. You will bring: 

  • Experience working with children, ideally within an educational or support setting  

  • An understanding of special educational needs and inclusive practices  

  • A genuine enthusiasm for supporting pupils’ development  

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills  

  • A flexible and proactive approach to supporting individual pupil needs  

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
