Pastoral Care

Pastoral care is at the heart of school life at Sherrardswood. From the moment students enter our Pre-School to the day they leave our Sixth Form, we provide them with a comprehensive support system to help them progress, feel welcome and address any issues they may face.

Students enjoy life at Sherrardswood where they are encouraged by all members of the teaching staff to aspire to their highest attainable personal goals. The relationships between staff and students are based on trust and respect. Friendships among the students are strong and often last a lifetime.

All members of the teaching staff have a responsibility to ensure the well-being of each individual. Students are encouraged to care for each other, with older boys and girls helping the younger members of the school in the classroom as part of our community service programme. Links between all parts of the school are close and encourage students to feel very much at home as they progress through their academic and personal development.
